Altes Amtshaus in Wildeshausen

On Boxing Day we had ordered “Wild Kraft Brühe”, “The best of the duck” and “Red Grits” as dessert to eat at home. The food was packed perfectly to the minute. It was more than plentiful and in this case the often misused description of "epicurean delicacy" is really true. Dumplings, red cabbage, crispy duck, sauce, Wildkraftbühe, red grits - everything is very well seasoned and prepared. It tasted wonderful, even the leftovers on the second day! Many thanks to Ms. and Mr. Stauga and the entire team! Unreserved recommendation! Even the Christmas greeting in the form of an enclosed cookie bag did not last through Christmas Eve.

Always beautiful. A successful mixture of the best gastronomy and a relaxed atmosphere. The location and the ambience ensure a real break from everyday life. A big plus in my opinion: the ingredients mainly come from the local area. And everything is fresh! In addition to the warm dishes, tarts and cakes are very, very, very, very, very recommendable 🙂

Great service and dishes! Celiac approved. Chef knows how to work around / avoid gluten. My dish was customized to my dietary needs while the place was full with guests. Will visit again.

Nice place to dine outside in the beautiful garden in front of the old villa Altes Amtshaus. Nice starters and main dishes which some of then you can adjust in size related to your appetite. Professional staff who bring meals in high speed. Nice quality price ratio. Two course dinner main and dessert with coffee and small glass of beer(had to drive...) for 25 euro. My compliments and will come back

We stopped at this place since we were looking for a dinner stop off the highway. We found this place on Google maps and went since it seemed to be a relaxing place to bring a dog. We were so happy we came here! First off, the town is so cute and great to have a leg stretch from a long car ride. Beautiful church near the restaurant and a walking trail! When we sat down for dinner, we enjoyed a nice beer and dinner. I had the vegetarian burger which was SO good and my family had the schnitzel. The portions were large and the prices were great. This place is also dog friendly as well, and she even received some milk bones. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you for a great time! We would recommend this place most definitely!
